We are honored to have on this episode, Miss Rocklahoma 2017, Ms. Lacey Knight. Lacey talks about her upbringing and how she came to love Rock-n-Roll, especially Metal and Classic Rock. She tell us about the whole Miss Rocklahoma event and gives us an update on what is in her future. You will fall in love with Lacey, as she has a real great personality and it reflects when she talks. No wonder she won.

We showcase the band Perseus out of Oklahoma on this episode. Oddly enough the lead singer happens to be Lacey's husband. Perseus is very hard charging progressive-tech-death metal band, which we are quite sure has bright future ahead.

Everyone learns from those who came before and in music it is no different. Those Heavy Metal and Hair Metal bands Troy and Randy listened to (and still do) from the 80's were influenced by the bands and artists from the 60's and 70's. On this episode the boys talk about bands like Led Zeppelin, The Animals, The Stones, Grand Funk Railroad and more. So tell us, who else could have been on that list?

In keeping with the theme of this episode, check out the cool sounds of Porno Wolves. Porno Wolves are a premium blend of blues, psychedelia, sex appeal and rock ‘n’ roll. The four-piece has erected their authentic sound on a foundation of musicianship and the classic rock canon. Fuzzed out leads, complex riffs, thought provoking lyrics, dense harmonies, and driving beats come together to create what Music Connection Magazine describes as “a whole lot of sound.”

Some bands just find that sound that works and well 20, 30 or 40 years later, they still rock. Join @HelmsRandy and @NelsonOK as they talk about many bands who still have what it takes to rock the crowd. Who did they miss?

This episode welcome Tempt, a New York based hi-energy melodic rock band, who will knock your socks off. Tempt takes compelling contemporary rock as their touchstone and foundation, but also keep one foot confidently in the past, drawing on the feel good classic rock of the 80s, lending their music an undeniably retro feel.

Frontmen (and women) make a band, hands down. You can have the best guitar player or drummer, but if your frontman is terrible, the crowd only stays into it for so long. Loudwire.com posted their best 10 frontmen in Hard Rock + Metal, so Troy and Randy decided to go through the list. Do you agree or disagree with the ones mentioned? Who should come off or who should be added?

Enjoy the awesome sounds of Eastern Oklahoma band Reliance Code. This band will blow you away and to think they just started in 2014. Rock on guys.

Also the music of Jupiter in Velvet. His music mixes the 70s sounds of David Bowie to the 80s sounds of Jane's Addiction. You will really love his style, with the two songs showcased this episode. You will be hooked right away.
